Summer

My summer is almost over.

Bleh

Our parents don't know yet. They'll be almost the last ones to know, ironically enough. I'm mailing my parents the pregnancy test with a note that they'll get on or around my dad's birthday, which is in two weeks. We've already decided not to tell my extended family until I'm 5 or 6 months along...most of them didn't support us getting married and this is not something I want them giving me crap about. This is my miracle baby.

On March 19th

I'm going to be a mum.

Skin deep.

It just seems like I can never get my way.

My mom FINALLY schedules me an appointment so I can go on Accutane, something she said she would do months ago, and there's a problem with pharmacist and I may not be able to get it at all. In the meantime, my acne has gotten, if possible, worse.

I go to get a perm, nothing really tight, just so I can have some wave to my hair. I leave the salon happy enough, and an hour later I realize that my hair is basically straight, except now it's styled with a cut that would be great for curly hair, but instead makes my head look like a mushroom. I call the salon, and the lady who did my hair will NOT call back.

Still fat, but I can't blame anyone else for that one.

I just wanted to be able to go into my senior year finally pretty. Truly happy with myself, not just settling, you know?

Ugly Duckling

I'm the least beautiful of my friends, the most socially inept, and the least graceful.

For once I'd like to be the swan and not the ugly duckling.
